You hit the nail on the head, Sue. It's not giving up or giving in, it's acceptance. You know me and music, so here's one for you. "Surrender" is one of my favorite U2 songs/one of my favorite songs full stop. And the irony that it's on an album entitled "War" makes it all the more special. xo

It seems that those who find themselves surrendering are people already comfortable with the concept (“Just ~surrender~!”🧘‍♀️🌸) or who’ve been forced, by life as if at gunpoint, to do so (“SURRENDER!!!”).

So: as Type A person, it is wildly comforting to read a concrete argument about the inherent value of surrender from...another Type A person.

This was—in the words of Sarah Lewis—masterful.

I’m thinking we get inspired by Chris and make the ‘A’ in our Type A personalities stand for AMATEUR, Maddie! Or maybe aspirational? It’s a journey either way. Glad to be on it together......♥️

Ooh, yes, perfect tie-in—wearing the “A is for amateur” badge loud and proud! 🙌

This is a wonderful message. Learning to surrender was a key lesson I had to learn on my journey.

Great point Leon - love the frame of conserving energy for the right things....that translates directly to our personal power. Thanks!
